The collection area Abkhazia is included in this catalogue for the first time. The autonomous republic, which was internationally recognized by only a few states, split from Georgia after independence. Since 2018, older stamps are also formally valid for international postage. This catalogue now contains all previously available stamps from Abkhazia since 1993.
